CARPOOL PROCEDURES

Please remember that the carpool lane is a "Kiss & Go" lane, and refrain from leaving your vehicle during pick-up and drop-off. This allows us to keep the carpool lane moving efficiently. If you'd like to spend a little extra time in drop-off, please use the parking lots on the west and east sides of the building. We recognize that many of our parents are on tight schedules and want to respect their time!
ELEMENTARY PARKING LOT

Please park ONLY in the designated parking spots in the West (Elementary) Parking Lot, and use the marked handicapped spots only if you have a valid handicapped placard or plates. The entire front lot other than designated spaces is considered a fire lane, and the sheriff's department has received complaints about cars illegally parked these areas. Jeffco deputies are patrolling the area and have informed us that they will issue citations for violations. Thanks for helping us keep our kids and staff safe!
CARPOOL SAFETY

Please "hang up before you pick-up." The carpool lane is a no cell phone zone for the safety of our students. Also, please load students on the RIGHT (sidewalk) side of the vehicle ONLY. Loading on the left side in moving traffic is not permitted.

Carpool Procedures are at this link!

We still have room in many grade levels, including one space left in our tuition-free full day Kindergarten. New family referrals complete the 40 hour volunteer requirement, so talk about your Collegiate experience to friends and coworkers!

Ms. Capolungo nominated RileyRae M.  RileyRae has shown ownership by taking responsibility for her own classwork and homework. She has done a great job making sure everything is done with great quality.

Ms. Evans nominated Ethan E.  Ethan does a fantastic job showing ownership in and out of the classroom! He is aware of the decisions that he is making and will always take responsibility for his actions! Ethan is a great example of what it looks like to "Step Out of the Crowd."

Mrs. Weber and Ms. Lackey nominated Jack L.  Jack takes ownership and pride in what he is learning each day, by how he recognizes concepts that we are learning in other content areas. Jack is our concept KING and that is what makes him step out of the crowd.

Ms. Robison nominated Alicia D.  Alicia takes ownership with her academic responsibilities and social responsibilities. Ms. Dowling and Mrs. Ballengee nominated Robelle A.  Robelle shows ownership on a daily basis in and out of the classroom.

NEXT WEEK'S

CORE VALUE

QUALITY

Dear Collegiate Families,

Have you had a chance yet to check out our new and improved website?  Click here to see what’s changed.

This past week has been incredibly eventful here at Collegiate Academy!   Last week we celebrated Halloween with another successful Monster Mash.  Student’s came to CAC in costume and had a blast dancing, playing games and winning all sorts of candy prizes.  Our high school finished the evening with a scary movie marathon where for a change having frightened high school students was a good thing.

Art Club and Science Club continue to be a big hit, while our Ultimate Frisbee and Girls Volleyball teams have improved tremendously in recent weeks.

Make sure you check out the school calendar to see upcoming events for Veterans Day and the elementary school’s Fall Dance.  We’re running a social media contest during November in order to enlist the help of the entire Collegiate Academy family spreading the word to the greater community of how great our school really is.  Please participate freely.

This season also reminds us that the weather in Colorado can change quickly. Please send a winter coat, hat, gloves, and appropriate footwear every day, and remember that before Thanksgiving break all lost and found items will be donated to clothing banks.

Jefferson County has put guidelines in place for outdoor play and dismissal and we do our best to follow them. Whenever the outside temperature is below 25 degrees, including wind chill, we will have recess indoors. When the temperature falls below 0 degrees, including wind chill, we will have indoor dismissal.

In the event of severe weather, Jefferson County Public Schools makes the determination regarding closing our school. Please keep an eye on any of the local news stations when you are concerned. An auto-dialer will also go out through email and phone services whenever the school will be closed for weather or other emergency conditions.

A friendly reminder, students do not come to school on Monday, November 6th due to a teacher service day.

As the holiday season approaches we can’t help but be thankful for all the assistance the entire Collegiate Academy community so freely volunteers.  Thanks for your support and warm wishes for a great Thanksgiving holiday!

The administration team.
